Whole hot smoked mackerel

Bone one of these and smash the flesh up in a bowl with the juice of a lemon and a lot of black pepper, and you'll have the second best thing in the world to spread on toast (the best thing is Chapel & Swan's creamed smoked cod roe). A strong smoke flavour complements the strong taste of the mackerel, and the rich fish oils make it irresistible.
